Food and service was very good. We ordered ginger salads and various sushi rolls. All presented well. Several staff checked in on us during dinner.

  • *****

Excellent Asian options, very tasty very good service. Love going there for Asian. Almost fine dining with nice atmosphere. Great service!

One of my first meals as a Clermontian and it was AMAZING! Glad to have this place so close to my new back yard. Will definitely be back!

  • *****

Good lunch menu and a great lunch sushi deal. The bathrooms were clean and well cared for. I wish the waitress had been more attentive but overall still great.

We went here a few years ago with coworkers then again a couple of years later with crew/rowing friends for a night out. Now we have rediscovered it again after looking for a sushi chef. Every time we go it's been incredible. We didn't live too close so that's why we didn't frequent more. Now we live a little closer and I won't forget how good the food is this time. I know we got sushi the first time, don't remember the second but I do remember the food was super good! Recently we have ordered sushi again, fried rice and beef broccoli.
I've also had the Bok choy which was amazing if you're vegetarian or not! I highly recommend Alina if you are looking for some good Asian dishes. We always look forward to going back.

This place has alway been the best for sushi, and I can't find fried rice that tastes better than this anywhere else, I always order extra.

  • *****

Disclaimer: I have only tried their vegetarian options. They have several vegetarian rolls, including one with thin slices of fruit (either peach or mango) that really mimic the texture of the raw fish, and it's fantastic. I've been several times and as an entree I almost always order the vegetarian curry, it is savory and delicious!

We give it 10 out of 5 stars. We were originally looking for a local dog friendly sushi spot and what we found was also an authentic, classy, delicious, customer service oriented dining spot that we will make sure to visit each and every time we come to town. The miso soup is one of the best we have ever had, edamame cooked to perfection...we ordered 3 different rolls one of which was recommended by the waitress, the honeymoon roll, was by far our favorite of all times. Our waitress Margie was personable and attentive. This is a must go to, any time you're in the Clermont area!!

  • *****

They have great sushi and an interesting variety of both Japanese and general Asian dishes. This is the place to get out of your typical comfort zone when it comes to sushi.
The food is good, the service was excellent and they have a nice atmosphere.

  • *****

I love this place. I have never been disappointed! The sushi rolls are what I recommend.

  • *****

This is a local gem! They have the freshest sushi ingredients, excellent friendly staff, and great customer service.

  • *****

I was real tempted to give them 5 stars. This rating is fairly situational, I did not expect to get even decent sushi in such a random place. So when I found strong sushi game in Clermont, I must admit I was surprised.

They have good sushi, and an interesting variety of both Japanese and general Asian dishes. If you are looking for a little adventure Akina would be a great place to go outside your comfort zone. If you are a good enthusiast like me, and need something of more variety, this place is the ticket.

The food is good, the service was excellent. We'll make it a regular when visiting.

  • *****

Wow if you want good affordable sushi this is a great choice. The sushi is good. Not as good quality as a traditional ala carte type sushi place but it's also $50 cheaper. You can get 5-8 rolls for under $20 but for most of them you just get one type of roll. They also have cooked sushi which isn't really my thing but it tasted ok. They have other things besides sushi as well and it's good too.

  • *****

I always have great service here. The food is tasty and fresh. I normally order the chicken fried rice.

  • *****

Great food, knowledgeable and friendly staff, clean and nice and can't wait to go back.

  • *****

We visit florida maybe three times a year and every time we go would go to akina because the food is excellent, the place is clean and the people are so friendly. I love their sushi, always so fresh. The environment is warm and welcoming. Love it here. I would definitely recommend this place

  • *****

The food was delicious, and our server was very nice and explained the menu! I will definitely go back!

  • *****

Excellent, simply excellent. My wife and I arrived in this area, located Akina and were not disappointed. I had a wonderful pad Thai and my wife had the shrimp and eggplant dish. Both were top notch. Highly recommend it to anyone new in the area.

  • *****

This restaurant is definitely our favorite place to get sushi! The rolls are large and the proportions of what goes into the roll is good! No overloading on cream cheese or cheap fillers here. Whatever seafood you have chosen to be inside the roll is featured heavily with the other fillings as compliments to the meat. Also the rolls are beautiful! I wish I was patient enough to take a photo before digging in. The servers are very attentive and the owner/manager always makes the rounds to check in on guests. I definitely recommend trying their special roll that's featured on the board as it doesn't disappoint.

  • *****

Absolutely wonderful experience! We came to this restaurant after awful service at Mito Sushi drove us away before we could even try the food (or drinks) and boy, were we glad it did! We made the decision based on the overwhelming amount of positive reviews on Yelp & Google and decided to make the drive. Talk about a blessing in disguise! Immediately seated and promptly greeted by our marvelous server, Marggie. As it was our first time dining there she was extremely helpful in making a few recommendations. Everything was delicious (especially the recommended "Mexican" Roll) and our dining experience (and date night) was quickly saved by the fantastic food and service at Akina Sushi & Asian Food Bistro! You definitely have return customers for life!

  • *****

Very nice experience. We went there for lunch. We had their stuffed mushrooms and crispy calamari for appetizers and wow they were soooo good. I loved the spicy sauce that comes with the calamari. They have awesome sushi rolls. I loved their tsunami roll and heaven roll. Place is a little bit on the pricey side, but worth it. Flavors are great and service was great too.

  • *****

Chicken fried rice is always an excellent choice - very good!

  • *****

Love the uniqueness of this restaurant. The food is perfect all the time and service is always great.

  • *****

Pretty good experience overall - good food for a fair price. I'd come back here again, but probably not on a Saturday night. I always find it odd when there are Korean, Chinese, Japanese and Thai dishes on the same menu, but the food overall was pretty decent. Ambiance was average.

PROS: Tasty. Friendly service. Fair Prices. Akina and Fireball rolls were great; Unagi Nigiri was average (needed more torch!). General Tso chicken and Yaki Soba were both pretty good. Kirin and other Asian beers were $4 - not bad.

CONS: We stood at the front while the hostess fumbled around for 15 mins and we ended up seating ourselves at the sushi bar unassisted, taking our own menus (while carrying an infant). The place was uncomfortably smokey and a little warm, plus it was jam packed - it's not a big restaurant. Food took a while to come out (other than the sushi) and the place was clearly understaffed - not enough servers.

  • *****

I only rate when really good or really bad. Best Sushi I've had in a while! Seaweed salad is fresh, sushi is quite tasty and deep fried cheesecake is banging!!!

  • *****

This is a very upscale restaurant for a strip mall type location. Great decor, and an extensive pan-Asian menu including Sushi, Japanese, Chinese, Korean and even Indian cuisines.

We started with an order of Roti with curry sauce, because what other sushi restaurant has that?! It was excellent, with perfectly fresh roti. The sauce was so good I saved it to put on my rice.

I had the lunch sashimi bento box, which included seven nice pieces of fish, seaweed salad and lettuce salad, rice, and a very large bowl of miso soup. The miso was a bit sweeter than normal, but everything else was great.

We also had two rolls and some ikura sashimi. All were good.

Pricing might be a bit high for the area, but I thought it was worth it. Service was exceptional. I've never had a soft drink refilled so many times!

  • *****

This was our first time here but it won't be our last. This is a slightly upscale restaurant. Very airy and nice, simple decor. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

We had the shrimp and vegetable tempura as an appetizer, very nice. Then we shared the Honey Garlic Chicken and Double Oriental Wonder. Both dishes came with rice and vegetables. We had one with white rice and another with fried rice. I liked their fried rice best. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. The chicken dish had a lot of large, thin slices of chicken that were deep fried, and very tender and tasty. The Oriental Wonder had large shrimp and very large scallops that were perfectly cooked. Soooo good!

Portions were good sized and great for sharing. We ended up with leftovers.

This is now one of our new favorite restaurants.

  • *****

Great food, great portions! Exceptional Pina Colada went with a memorable meal.

  • *****

We have just moved from Orlando and wanted a good sushi restaurant, they were delicious, good and fresh and the service was good also, good news when u walk in and it smells good and the place is packed, will definitely return. Was very glad to see the rest of the menu and the dishes around our table looked great!

  • *****

Love this place! The food is fantastic. It can get on the pricey side but its absolutely delicious!

  • *****

Great service. Unique menu. They offer something for everyone. This is definitely fusion but it is delicious and delightful. Do not be afraid of Akina because it is Fusion. The Sushi is super duper fresh. They have wonderful stuff like grilled jaw of yellow tail. YUM! They carry Uni but not all of the time. They offer a good variety of stuff and yes there is even plain old fashioned chinese fried rice for your picky kiddo who did not want to go to Akina in the first place. I have tried about half their menu and loved it all.

  • *****

Best Japanese food in the Orlando area!!! The food here is awesome and fresh, the atmosphere is nice, & the service is great. I'd recommend the Louisiana, Temptation, Fireball, & the King Dragon Roll to those who come. If you're interested in a bit of Chinese flavor, the General Tso Chicken is Delicious! My family and I will definitely be back here when we're in Florida again.

  • *****

This was some GREAT sushi. I'm no expert but the meticulous attention to detail and artsy way this sushi was put together was fantastic! Order any off the selection and you will be fine. If you live in the area, try a different one every time you go. The food just EXPLODES in your mouth with sushi greatness and expertise of the chefs. I also ordered the "double oriental wonder." If you are a shrimp and scallop like be you will LOVE the preparation of this dish and the fresh tasting quality of it and the sushi. The scallops were so huge and soft! Now, I'm not one to say "hey, let's go out for sushi !" EVER. Why? Let's just say I'm aware of what raw ANYTHING can do to you. But I live on the wild side occasionally ( Montazuma"s revenge be damned!) and thoroughly enjoyed my "top of the line sushi" The atmosphere is subdued, at least the night I was there, the set up is strictly solitary table for two that will be pushed together for larger groups, in an open air spartan environment that does not encourage romantic overtures. But, hey, you went for good ASIAN food and sushi, right? Enjoy!

  • *****

Best General Tso's chicken EVER!! I used to get General Tso's from our favorite Chinese restaurant in NY. Now - having Japanese style - I have found my new favorite! Lightly breaded instead of the thick caramel coating - is the way to go! And Lisa loves the vegetable dumplings !! (Goyzo!)

  • *****

Possibly the best sushi I have ever eaten. We only had take out so I can't rate the service but the girls that took my money both times were very nice. The mexican roll is our fave but all we tried were great, I don;t think you can go wrong. It wa so good we came back 3 nights later!

  • *****

Oh man, do I love this place; great food, great service and the best desserts. I highly recommend the deep fried cheesecake, I had three slices the last time I was here (after dinner); the other desserts are good too.

  • *****

I have been driving over from Windermere for years, beats anything in Orlando hands down. Try the Tokyo roll (not on the regular menu) you will not be disappointed!!

  • *****

i have been on a sushi eating tear lately and i have a pile of take-out chopsticks to prove it. because of this i've eaten sushi from Clermont to Oveido so i have experienced them all.
Akina is my go to place when i'm eating take-out, i have 3 places all within the same driving distance. first and foremost are the hours- open EVERY day till at least 9pm and a little later on weekends i think. i often dine at that in-between time when most sushi rest.'s close, not here open all day, every day..
second and actually most importantly is the food, the menu is good cause there's choices but not too many. features both cooked food and sushi choices. the Yaki Udon noodles are the best i've ever had anywhere! done in a stir-fry style so they're chewy but hearty at the same time. sushi is fresh and the rice always tastes freshly made. the rice people, fresh fish is very important but hard and stale rice will spoil a nigiri too. so many rest.'s don't change the rice unless its done.
the decor is standard as is the location on the corner of a buis. complex across the street from a Publix. all that won't matter once you get your appetizer.
anyways, if you find yourself on SR 27 in Clermont stop by, these people deserve the good reviews and you can tell they appreciate your buisness.

There's a debate in my house about whether this is a 4 or 5 star place. We have been here many times and will continue to be our favorite Asian restaurant in this area. My wife doesn't have 1 complaint. She loves the sushi, chicken fried rice, chicken terriyaki, and tempura. The price is reasonable and the modern Asian atmosphere is clean and comfortable. The service is always good. Now if I could just get a coke (they have pepsi) and a crunchy egg roll....

  • *****

Very good sushi. Very nice staff. I have been to so many sushi places in Miami, New York, Cali, and other places. This is probably in my top three. You can't go wrong with anything you order.

  • *****

Typically I'd give Akina 5 stars, any day, and challenge you to a sushi competition with your local favorite. I'm, however, leaving it at 4 stars for now as my last dining experience was not what I considered "up to par" for this establishment. There was something definitely off with our rolls but I couldn't put my finger on what it was exactly. I've dined here 100+ times and never been disappointed. After my next visit I will revise this review in hopes that it was just an "off night."

  • *****

This is my favorite Asian/sushi restaurant in the area. The food quality is consistently excellent, ambiance relaxing, wait staff attentive and friendly. I love the spicy tuna and temptation rolls the best, but have never had anything I didn't enjoy. The prices are higher than local competitors, but it's worth every penny for what you are getting.

  • *****

I could honestly eat here everyday...You won't be disappointed. Enjoy

  • *****

If your into deep fried sushi, the FIREBALL roll is awesome.

  • *****

It is always hard to find a good place to eat sushi. I have never met a roll at Akina that I did not like. They have had their off nights with service, but who doesn't.
Plus the food makes up for it. The atmosphere is always enjoyable and the wait time has never been bad even on busy nights. This is definitely a place to try!

  • *****

Local, clean, friendly staff, great food.
Best rolls in Clermont. Try the firebomb

  • *****

Just checked Akina out on Sunday for dinner and I was very impressed. We had three rolls: Volcano, Mexican and Heaven. All three were very good but I'd have to say we liked the Mexican and the Heaven a bit more than the Volcano.

My 8 year old also was with us and it's good to know that kids eat free on Tuesdays and Sundays from a limited kid's menu. I think there were maybe 5 things on the list but my kid picked chicken terriyaki and loved it down to the last bite.

The atmosphere is nice and clean and the staff was very helpful. We'll be going back to explore more rolls as it was really hard to narrow down our selection. Looking forward to the Louisiana roll next time. Who wants to go?

After almost a week of dissatisfying, unhealthy and over-priced food in the Disney vortex, we were dying to eat something clean, healthy, and flavorful. And while my 7 and 10 year olds would never admit it, their little bodies and minds were craving the same. A brief internet search uncovered Akina, just a 15 minute drive from our Disney-area resort on 192.

While the journey took only 15 minutes, it was a transformative one. We are big eaters of sushi back home, and know from good sushi. Our experience at Akina was excellent in every way. The server was incredibly kind to the kids, and genuinely engaged them. They had a kids' menu with real food on it, too -- no chicken fingers, hallelujah. Tasty, simple chicken teriyaki, noodles. The edamame disappeared in no time, too.

For my wife and I, exceptionally flavorful miso soup, truly the best I've had. It can often be overly watery, or too salty, but this one hit the happy medium. I could almost feel the nutrients returning to my body. They have a lovely selection of salads; I highly recommend the homemade kim chi salad. And finally, the sushi. They have a wide variety of creative rolls. The portions of fish (in rolls, and nigiri) were generous, fresh, and delicious. The whole thing was affordable, too.

Disney vacationers, break away from the buffet cattle call, and head to Akina. And by all means bring the kids.

  • *****

The food in this establishment is GREAT! Limited seating, but I'm afraid if they were bigger it may jeopardize the quality. Japanese sit down, not hibachi style.

  • *****

This is the best sushi and sashimi that I have found in Lake County (so far). It's a bit pricy but sushi generally is. We love their rolls but I do find that the sashimi portions are very large. Service has been stellar and they have remembered us every time that we come in which is surprising, but I guess they were amazed that a first time sushi eater would eat sashimi in one fell swoop, so they always are extra friendly. Cold beer just makes me even happier. Just the best.

One disappointing thing: Pad Thai isn't their thing...stick to the sushi. We really love the Seattle roll.

  • *****

Great fresh tasting sushi. The whole family loves to go there.

  • *****

Haven't had the best of service but the sushi is decent and it close to home so I feel 4 stars is appropriate. The lady who seems to be the owner is not too friendly and the staff is different every time we have gone. Only one time we had a great server.

  • *****

Love love love their sushi, price was reasonable and the server was very pleasant. Definitely recommend it. My friend and I had 5 different sushi rolls, sea weed salad and steam gyoza they were all delicious. I ordered a saki and it was up to my liking. I would go back again.

  • *****

Sushi is delicious, our favorite is the chicken teriyaki roll. Staff is friendly and love the quiet atmosphere. I definitely recommend this place for quality sushi.

  • *****

My favorite restaurant! Very clean and tasty. They serve Chinese and Japanese food. The chicken with broccoli is amazing and the sushi is great. Unlike most Chinese restaurants in Florida they serve vegetable dumplings (not just pork). The servers and hostess are very friendly and the food is not expensive. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

  • *****

Basically the only place I go to for sushi since every other place really doesn't stack up. They have a huge menu with all different types of rolls and the sushi chefs are pretty flexible. So they can make anything from a fancy roll to a simple hand roll. A hand roll with yellowtail is my fave. The temptation roll and hulk roll are awesome. This place makes decent sized rolls so you can get away with getting two and maybe an app.

Recently been trying out the kitchen menu and definitely not disappointed. I know this sounds basic but the General Tso's chicken is a must try. Same with the eggplant shrimp. Probably the best calamari that I've ever had. I wouldn't get it to go though, best to eat it there since you can lose the crispness.

This place can get pretty busy on the weekend so the earlier, the better.

  • *****

Not your typical Chinese food restaurant. So much better, classier. Their salad dressing is fantastic. Try the fried rice, incredibly good. This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants.

  • *****

We only had the sushi but it was very good. Menu is simple and looks great overall. The food around us looked great as well. Definitely a solid option for good Asian food!

  • *****

One of my favorite Gems in Clermont. After living in Cali this place reminds me of restaurants in Southern California. Even though the atmosphere is casual it has a tasteful ambiance that can easily go from walk in to a more dressed up evening. The food consistently never disappoints. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

  • *****

What a nice surprise for central Florida. Enjoyed a great meal while visiting friends in Clermont. Delicious and fresh sushi with very creative and inspired rolls. Friendly staff and clean decor make it a great experience. Recommend any of the specialty rolls and soups. As someone else wrote...reminded me of sushi places from the west coast.

  • *****

Four of us got seated immediately on a busy Friday evening. Ordered four California sushi rolls, and all were delicious. The fried roll was very lightly fried. Having had plenty of food, I ordered the spicy soup, with a tasty broth and julienne strips of veggies. Yummy with a kick. The others order Pad Tai and Seafood Udon. Really good. Sharing a bottle of wine topped off the meal. Excellent service.

  • *****

I had crispy beef/hot sour soup & California crunch roll.
Hot & sour soup was thick & had lots of mushrooms & veggies in it (see pic)
Crunch roll was hot outside & cool inside. Taste was perfect

Crispy beef was a large portion. Very tasty and stayed crisp
All in all food/atmosphere/service was perfect

    Thanks for a great supper!

  • *****

    Great food and friendly service.

  • *****

Awesome menu. Food & service is always delightful.

  • *****

Great sushi and other Japanese regular dishes. Some Chinese options as well. Service is a little lacking to be fair but mainly too laid back, friendly though.

  • *****

Sushi in Central Florida? YES...This is the place to go! I come here at least once a month & it is delicious. Vegetable Spring Rolls come on a bed of shredded sweet potato crunchies that you will find yourself picking at. They have a specialty roll called The Fireball Roll which is amazing. It has cooked scallop, cream-cheese, kimchi, & then the whole thing is lightly breaded & fried; get it with a small side of eel sauce for dipping. I also get a slightly modified California Roll (No Avocado, Add Peaches, & Cream-Cheese on the inside). I call it the Gerty Roll, in my head, for the person who first ordered it with me.

  • *****

Great lunch specials that are very filling and delicious. Also have very fresh spring rolls. Their sweet and sour chicken is not what you want to get if you are used to Pei Wei or typical asian restaurants. Definitely go for lunch though.

  • *****

    Excellent food and service!

  • *****

Great food, PAINFULLY SLOW service. Went on a Friday night, to be fair, so it was busy, but we were here for 90 minutes for dinner (only about 15 minutes of this time was waiting for a table). Way too long! I think of this place every time I get a hankering for chinese food but then I remember how slow this place is and end up going somewhere else.

  • *****

Delicious, healthy food, nice people. I've tried many dishes on the menu, always good. Crispy eggplant and shrimp, in a dark sweet sauce, and seafood with udon noodles are 2 of my favorites.

  • *****

Great food at a good price. Not too fancy, but very clean and profrssional.

  • *****

By far best restaurant in lake county maybe all central Florida! Best Chinese food ive ever eaten!

  • *****

    Delicious, healthy food, nice people

  • *****

I've been going here since this place opened and ive never been disappointed. They used to have one unprofessional prick who worked there but I think he has assumed his rightful place at McDonald's. Best Asian food in clermont and they have the awards to prove it. String bean chicken is my personal favorite and they do offer takeout and dine in. The Sushi bar is also excellent. Worth the money

  • *****

The staff was very helpful and polite. The sushi, sashimi & fried rice was amazing. Very good place to eat.

  • *****

Not the best sushi ever but pretty good and perhaps best at least in the Clermont area which doesn't admittedly have a lot in terms of sushi. Very fresh and decent service. No complaints. Pretty consistent service and quality which says a lot. Very good value-prices vs quality. My family go here often and have no complaints. I'm Asian-American and my sister-in-law Japanese. When we want sushi nearby without a long drive, it's where we go.

  • *****

Best sushi in the area! We've been all over, and Akina's sushi is always top notch. The fish is fresh, the service is (usually) outstanding and the house is clean. The service can get a bit spotty if they have a large, unexpected crowd, but typically the service is top-notch!

  • *****

My wife and I decided to go here for our anniversary dinner and we're pleasantly surprised. The food was great. Teriyaki chicken. Came out on a sizzling skillet. We ordered 4 different sushi rolls (fireball, volcano, avocado and revolution roll) each of them was delicious and beautifully presented. This isn't the cheapest resturant you'll visit but it is well worth the money. The only down side is it was a little warm in the resturant. (That's literally the only negative thing I have to say about it) Highly recommended.

  • *****

Excellent sushi, spring rolls, soups, and teriyaki chicken. Server kept water and iced tea glasses filled.

    Food - 5 star
    Service 5 star
    Clean- 5 star
    Atmosphere - 5 star

  • *****

Great food, great service. Love the crystal roll for sushi and the shrimp and eggplant dish for dinner.

  • *****

Great service! Very tasty dishes!!Staff is very helpful & attentive. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone! Plus is very clean & well kept, I drove 45mins just to come to this restaurant. It's surely worth the drive every time!!

  • *****

Excellent food! We had the Korean soup and the spicy beef - best we've had anywhere!

  • *****

Loved them since the day they opened - so happy to see them flourish over the years - love their fried rice, sushi, and miso soup.

  • *****

Delishious sushi. Only thing keeping this from being 5-star is this is my first review, and I can't let the first review get a perfect score. That said, this place did inspire me to post my first review. Tons of variety (we were a big group and tried a lot of different rolls), each was superb. Try the Temptation Roll (it has peaches on top). We had sweet & sour chicken, too, which was also very tasty. Service was great, and the food came out quickly considering the amount of sushi we ordered. Great sushi spot. Probably best in Clermont.

  • *****

AMAZING sushi. The restaurant is large with plenty of seating. Very clean and minimal design. You can sit at the bar or sit at the table. We ordered Miso Soup (which was wonderful) and spicy/regular edamame as an appetizer (both were wonderful and if you like spicy it's a good choice). Mother-in-law ordered hot tea and she said it was very good. We ended up ordering 8 rolls and two hand rolls. All the sushi was amazing and very fresh, my favorite was the locomotive roll. Very quick service didn't have to wait forever to get all our rolls. Overall, will definitely be returning again.

  • *****

Fresh, not frozen saku block(cold smoked) tuna and perfectly executed rice. Crazy roll is the bomb. Actual experienced chefs and not some 18 yr old kid pretending to be a sushi chef. My wife like the mongolian beef and the krispy beef entrees.

  • *****

We initially came here about a month and a half ago. Just driving by and wanting to try a new place. Since then we have come by at least once a week (10 times in a two months). My wife usually gets the Singapore noodles and I usually get the General Tsos chicken. By far best General Tsos I have found anywhere. I have also tried the teriyaki beef and tonight I had the lemongrass chicken. Thrilled with everything. Only item I didn't care for last time was the Akina fried rice but everything else we've tried has been fantastic. Service has always been great and prices are very reasonable. I truly can't recommend it enough.

  • *****

Second time here and I love it!!! Their food is great, customer service ok, appetizer are all great great location ! Tea is great and fry ice cream awesome, check it out, let me know

  • *****

My parents took us here for the first time. From beginning to end it was a perfect experience. Out waiter was very polite and very attentive. I began with the house sale. The ginger dressing was very good and not extremely strong. I had the General Tsos chicken with fried rice. It is probably the best General Tsos that I have ever had. It was delicious. My so had the miso soup, pork dumplings and sushi. Everything was to perfection.

Recently my family was in the mood for some Asian food. Being new to the area we didn't know where to start to look for what we wanted (a quality sit down clean Asian restaurant). Since moving out here from the Seattle area it's been hard to find a restaurant with all of the qualities I hope to find until now. Akina is a wonderful small local place that is cozy but not over the top. This time we didn't have sushi but we had other Asian inspired dishes that were devine. Chicken teriyaki, honey garlic chicken, shrimp yakisoba and pad Tai with chicken and shrimp were all prepared beautifully. The most tender chicken and my shrimp were huge and cooked perfectly. Phad Tai was a bit sweet but I still could hardly keep myself from licking the plate clean. There is definitely going to be a next time and I cant wait to try something else on the menu. Maybe even sushi but after a bad experience at Morimoto in Disney Springs I might have to build back up to it. But yes if you want quality food for much less skip Morimoto and go to Akina. The only thing that will boost Akina at this time would be cocktails and wine and that why the four star rating. Need Saki. See you soon Akina.

  • *****

Good sushi try the calamari it's great and they do it completely different from any other way I've seen a restaurant do it. Nice atmosphere to eat in looks very clean. Waitstaff is nice and attentive. Will go back.

Great local spot for fresh food and friendly service, servers are very knowledgeable of the menu and the owner is a great person. She remembers her customers and is always happy to see them. Rolls are always fresh and they are willing to accommodate your needs. They also have a full kitchen for people that are not into sushi. This location is very seasonal with the snowbirds coming down from the north. I recommend trying this place.
    Enjoy!

This was the best sushi restaurant in the area. Third time's a charm Went to two other places, but this had the freshest sushi and amazing chicken teruyuki. I had the Lighthouse Roll. Good, but Salmon Sashimi was excellent.

Wine okay. Waitress cracked us up. Lots of fun. Will be back.

Me and my best friend are like hard sushi critics... We always go to the same place... We've been trying to try new places and I happened to pick this one just by chance. We had the lava roll ,Incredible Hulk roll, locomotive roll, and another I can't remeber off the top of my head. Lord have mercy there wasn't a damn thing that I didn't like which for me and her we always find something we didn't like... They will NOT DISAPPOINT YOU. Even when we asked for tons of extra spicy mayo out other fave place charges us they didn't!!! This place it just hands down amazing!!!

Better than Morimoto in Disney! This place is authentic to the bone. No Latinos working the wok- 100% Japanese and you can tell in the flavor. The food can stand alone but add in the atmosphere, great staff and all of the small details on the plates makes this a 5 Star Review. This place deserves an award, don't miss out!

Great with the exception that they served me tap water and their miso yaki was rather undercooked, the bones bothered me whereas in their unagi it does not, I'm sure it was a one time thing. All of their nigiri is fantastic, I'll be back to try more entrees.

This place is delicious! I get the Jjambbong soup and the portion is AMAZING! Not to mention the taste. They're always very friendly here and the food comes out quickly. Great prices as well. We usually order off of the noon sushi menu and love everything so far! I will try to sushi next, it looks like they have a fantastic variety and great reviews on it!

The sushi was delicious. I also had the miso soup and the calamari, and each was the best I've had before. The waitress was excellent, and I've never eaten at a sushi restaurant that got its food out so fast. My only regret is that I'm vacationing here, and can't eat here regularly.

Our favorite Asian restaurant period. The sushi is exceptionally fresh and the rice is also nearly perfect. The wait staff is also unusually nice and attentive. Perhaps the definitive sushi experience in Florida at least in terms of food quality.

One of the best sushi places I've ever been. The food is phenomenal! The stuffed mushrooms appetizer and the paradise roll are my two favorite items right now.

Akina features an extensive sushi menu. Sushi was good, it ranks up there with some great sushi, not the best I've had though. All a bit on the pricey side. Ambience is nice, and the service was excellent. I mean excellent. Our server was the star of our visit. I recommend Akina as solid sushi experience in Clermont.

The food is tasteful and explosive! I love going there. Even the simplest of dishes is an experience by it's self! The sushi is very good. I love going here and I hope there will be more. If you are the area I would definitely go here!

Very pleased with the service and food. Excellent presentation and well prepared. The food was not soaked in sauce and the vegetables were fresh. The sushi was fresh and some of the best we have eaten.
